Bio:
Tim Cassel has over two decades of experience as an educator, leader, and community builder in independent and faith-based schools.
Originally from Pennsylvania, Tim began his career as a mathematics teacher before moving into leadership roles, including department chair, grade-level advisor, and senior administrator. His professional journey includes nearly a decade of senior leadership overseeing academics and operations. Tim’s leadership experience spans curriculum development, faculty hiring and mentoring, program design, accreditation, and strategic operations. He successfully led
Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart’s FCIS re-accreditation visit, and has served on several accreditation teams for the Florida Council of Independent Schools (FCIS).
Tim’s career has been shaped by a deep commitment to mission-driven education across a range of settings, including Episcopal, Catholic, and Jewish schools. His experience spans small, medium, and large institutions serving students from PreK through Grade 8 as well as PreK through Grade 12. This broad background has given him a unique perspective on how to cultivate joyful, academically rich, and spiritually grounded learning environments.

Bio continued:
Rooted in a relational and mission-driven leadership style, Tim believes in knowing each student and faculty member by name and nurturing a community where everyone feels valued, seen, and supported. He is passionate about partnering closely with parents, leading and empowering faculty, and educating students to be the best version of themselves for the world.
Tim earned his M.B.A. from Boston University’s Questrom School of Business, his M.A. in Private School Leadership from Teachers College, Columbia University, and his B.S.Ed. in Mathematics from Millersville University of Pennsylvania.
Outside of school, Tim enjoys boating, reading, fishing, live music, skiing, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. He and his wife, Tricia, have been happily married for twenty-two years and share their home with their two beloved dogs. They are excited to join the St. Mark’s community and look forward to contributing to its tradition of excellence, innovation, and inspiration.
